HIGHLIGHTS OF 2ND THE INTERNATIONAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION

This was the First International Moot Court Competition organised by Kirit P. Mehta School of Law. The moot problem for IMCC 2020 was based on Data Privacy Laws which resulted in outstanding performance of the students with some bewildering arguments. It was a three-day event which began with the inaugural ceremony in the presence of the senior authorities which included Dr. Rajan Saxena (Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University), Dr. Alok Mishra (Dean, Kirit. P. Mehta School of Law) and Prof. Sohini Shrivastava (Faculty Incharge) who addressed the participants about mooting and the various nuances of environmental law.

The second and the third day were for the moot rounds and the participants got a good opportunity to engage in some salubrious interactions with the opponent teams as well as the other participating teams and build new ties. The Participants were adjudged by some of the most renown personalities in the industry. There were total of 28 teams participating from across the globe.

The third day started with the Semi-Final rounds of the Moot Court Competition which was followed by the Finals. The final day concluded with the Valedictory ceremony in the Mukesh Patel Auditorium with an extravagant capacity of 700 people. The Valedictory ceremony was embellished by Hon’ble Justice B. N. Srikrishna, other Senior Supreme Court and High Court Advocates, Partners and Associates from the law firms. With great efforts and hard work, Symbiosis Law School, Noida took the trophy home along with the cash prize.
